About

A visit to Symbio Wildlife Park means the chance to observe first-hand the features and changes of living things! Our experienced Rangers will walk your students through a variety of habitats and environments, giving them the opportunity to investigate how living things belong to different places which suit their needs, and describe observable features of living things and their environment. They can see what meerkats eat, how snakes shed their skin, and how kangaroos carry their young. Students will see the different stages in the life cycle of animals and examine how living things change as they grow and produce offspring similar to themselves. As they walk through the wildlife park with our experienced Ranger-guides, students will learn to identify and group plants and animals using their external features, and observe animals in enclosures designed to mimic their native habitats. They’ll gain an understanding of the importance of caring for our natural environment and discuss how we can improve a local environment to encourage living things to thrive. By the end of their action-packed day, students will be able to describe the ways the different environments of exotic and native Australian animals provide for the needs of living things – how they survive, change, and reproduce.
