First in the spotlight is Puggles the Platypus, showing off his incredible flippers that make him a master of the waterways. Watch jaws drop as students witness Puggles’ aquatic skills and discover how these specialised body parts are crucial for navigating Australia’s diverse aquatic environments.

Next stop: Coowee the Koala’s cosy home among the gum trees! Dive into the world of dietary delights as Coowee munches his way through eucalyptus leaves, showcasing how different animals have specific dietary needs to stay healthy and happy.

Hold onto your hats as we join Pelican Pete on an epic flight across sparkling waters. Learn firsthand about Pete’s unquenchable thirst for clean, fish-filled waters and the vital role these ecosystems play in supporting marine life.

Duration

Our puppet programs are a fun-filled 25 minute program with our Ranger arriving approx. 45 minutes before the show commences to set up.

Syllabus Content Focus

Early Stage 1 of the Living World strand focuses on living things, their characteristics, needs, behaviours, and the environment in which they live. Students explore how plants and animals satisfy our needs by providing us with the resources for the production of food and fibre.

Early Stage 1 of this strand introduces students to the biological sciences and how food and fibre are used and are essential to society and its needs.
