Introductory Presentation
10:25am – 10:45am
Kick off the day with an introduction at Bald Hill.
Students will then walk 700m down Bald Hill Track to Stanwell Park Beach Reserve
(approx. 30 minutes)
11:15am – 12:15pm

Activity 1: Dip-Net fishing + PH Testing: Students will dip-net fish to collect aquatic samples and conduct a bio-indicator survey.

Students will identify organisms to assess ecosystem health, learning how these indicators inform conservation strategies.

Students will also test various water samples, including those from the lagoon, to learn about pH levels and their impact on aquatic ecosystems. This hands-on activity emphasises the importance of water quality in environmental management.

Activity 2: Sea Cliff Bridge Scenic Walk: To conclude the day, students will take a guided walk along the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge, where they can appreciate the stunning coastal views and explore how infrastructure can coexist with and complement natural environments.

Activities

Guided Walk down Bald Hill Track to Stanwell Park Beach Reserve: Students will walk the 700m Bald Hill Track down to Stanwell Park Beach Reserve.

During this walk, our guides will discuss environmental management strategies that balance public enjoyment with natural vegetation preservation. This scenic route offers stunning views and insights into local ecosystems. Please note that this walk includes stairs.
