About

What better way to discover one of the oldest surviving cultures in the world than to have an authentic cultural visit from our experienced Gumaraa Rangers to your school!?

Explore the diversity of Aboriginal cultures and identities and the factors that contribute to their expression through this highly interactive and engaging traditional art experience. Have your students grab a paintbrush and contribute to their very own collaborative Indigenous mural to display in your school.

Our resident Indigenous artist will share and explore the social factors and experiences that affect identity and cultural expression and have your students actively participating in their very own meaningful and authentic Indigenous artwork as a way to remember this unforgettable and rich cultural experience.

Avoid tokenistic “Aboriginal Art” in your classrooms and embrace the expertise and knowledge of our Gumaraa Rangers.. who also happen to be professional artists! Throughout the day students will address a range of ways in which Aboriginal Peoples maintain identity and discover the various factors that contribute to an Aboriginal person’s identity.
