About

Experience an action-packed day of adventure and discovery, starting with hand-reel fishing in Gunnamatta Park, Cronulla. Following this, students will embark on a breathtaking ferry ride to the cosy coastal town of Bundeena. Enjoy dolphin spotting in Port Hacking’s crystal-clear bay, before exploring this beautiful area! After a relaxing packed lunch, students will spend the afternoon mini-beast bug catching in the reserve and creating animal homes and habitats on the beach. The day concludes with a scenic ferry ride back, leaving students with unforgettable memories of their coastal adventure.

Arrival / Morning Tea / Toilet Break

Introductory Presentation The day kicks off with a meet and greet with our enthusiastic Rangers at Gunamatta Park in Cronulla where they will enjoy a quick and engaging presentation.
(approx. 15 minutes)
Grouping: Students are divided into their groups of approximately x 30 students and are allocated a Ranger guide for each activity.
Activity 1 Hand-Reel Fishing in Gunnamatta Bay, Cronulla
(approx. 60 minutes)
Activity 2 11:30am ferry from Cronulla arriving in Bundeena for 12pm
(approx. 30 minutes)
Lunch / Toilet Break at Bundeena Beach Reserve
(approx. 25 minutes)
Activity 3 Beach Habitats
(approx. 30 minutes)
Activity 4 Mini-beast Bug Catching with camouflage face paint
(approx. 30 minutes)
Activity 5 2pm Ferry departing Bundeena arriving back to Cronulla for 2:30pm. (approx. 30 minutes)
