First up is Puggles the Platypus, showcasing his remarkable flippers that propel him through water with grace and agility. Students will be mesmerised by Puggles’ aquatic prowess and gain insights into how these unique features help him thrive in Australia’s diverse aquatic habitats.

Next, venture into the leafy realm of Coowee the Koala, where the spotlight shines on the importance of food for animals. From crunchy eucalyptus leaves to delectable treats, students will discover how dietary preferences vary across species and are essential for maintaining health and vitality.

Hold onto your seats as we soar alongside Pelican Pete, navigating the shimmering waters in search of nourishing fish and unpolluted environments. Through Pete’s story, students will grasp the critical role of clean water in sustaining marine ecosystems and supporting vibrant underwater communities.

Finally, meet the charismatic Cocky Locky the Cockatoo, perched high in his hollow tree. With wit and charm, Cocky Locky will illuminate the unique traits that define birds, from their feather patterns to their specialised beaks designed for different diets and habitats.

Our puppet programs are a fun-filled 25 minute program with our Ranger arriving approx. 45 minutes before the show commences to set up.

Stage 1 of the Living World strand focuses on the features of living things, their environment and how they change and reproduce. Students investigate how plants and animals are used to satisfy our needs for food and fibre.

Stage 1 of this strand develops students’ understanding of how living things and their environment play a central role in the support for and survival of humans.
